Welcome to the Allen Elementary Library page.
We will be updating with more information regarding our school media centers soon.
You can now access the library catalog at home or on a mobile device! Our library website is Destiny.
The basic search works very similarly to that of the public library. Use keywords, title, author, or subject to search for books. Use the Power option if you need an advanced search. Once you are finding items, you will easily see if items are available or not. Note that there is a small picture of a child reading a book by the Reading Programs tab. This is where you will find our Reading Counts search. Click on the arrow and choose Lexile and this allows you to put in a range of Lexiles. Not all Lexiles have been recorded at the moment, but we are continually updating it, you will want to check against the website Scholastic.
Students also now have the ability to login with their Powerschool ID’s and passwords to see which books they have checked out and to see if books they are interested in are available even before they arrive at the library. Student logins are unique to school your student attends, make sure they are looking at the catalog of the school they attend before logging in.
